Word allows user to temporarily change information in a document and inserts the identity of the editor.
1. Turn on Tracking: Tools/Track Changes/Highlight Changes/ Track changes while editing
2. View or Print Revisions: Tools/Track Changes/Highlight Changes/ Highlight changes on screen OR Highlight changes in printed document
3. Accept or Reject ALL changes in a document: Tools/Track Changes/Accept or Reject Changes/Accept All OR Reject All.
4. Accept or Reject individual changes: Use # 3 and select the first and second button to Accept or Reject each revision OR Right click on change and choose option to accept or reject.
Word allows user to insert comments in a document. Word will insert the comments and highlight their location. A mouseover allows the comments to be seen on screen.
Insert/Comment View/Comments
Edit Comment Delete comment
Right click on highlighted comment and choose option to edit or delete.
Use the Reviewing Toolbar: View/Toolbars/Reviewing
This keeps the icons on your screen in the form of a toolbar and saves having to use a drop-down menu.
