In July 2004, Georg was stabbed six times in the back after getting in a fight with a stranger. Early morning on October 29th 2005 Georg was in a severe car accident that left him wheelchair-bound. After several months uncertainty, he finally retired in July 2006. It is unlikely that he will ever be able to walk or play guitar again. Hannu Horma, Olli V�nsk�, and Janne M�kinen played with Turisas as touring guests before being added to the permanent line-up during the recording of the second album. Antti Ventola left the band around the same time.
