Safety Guidelines

symbol, notices referring only to property damage have no safety alert symbol. These notices shown below are
graded according to the degree of danger.
DANGER
indicates that death or severe personal injury will result if proper precautions are not taken.

indicates that death or severe personal injury may result if proper precautions are not taken.
CAUTION
with a safety alert symbol, indicates that minor personal injury can result if proper precautions are not taken.
CAUTION
without a safety alert symbol, indicates that property damage can result if proper precautions are not taken.
NOTICE
indicates that an unintended result or situation can occur if the corresponding information is not taken into
account.
If more than one degree of danger is present, the warning notice representing the highest degree of danger will
be used. A notice warning of injury to persons with a safety alert symbol may also include a warning relating to
property damage.

General information that could not be included in the manual or Online Help.
Starting ProTool after installing WinCC flexible
ProTool cannot be started from STEP 7 for integrated projects after the installation of
WinCC flexible. This can be remedied by running ProTool from the Windows Start menu
after the installation of WinCC flexible. You will then be able to start ProTool from STEP 7
again.
Display of HTML pages in Pocket Internet Explorer
The Pocket Internet Explorer of HMI panels is only released for simple HTML pages based
on HTML 3.0 standard.
Using multiple screens
The operating system function used to visualize the screen content on several monitors
(Control Panel ▶ Display ▶ Settings) is not released for WinCC flexible.
Image loading with editors
If you notice that the editor is having trouble loading images, the cause may be that the
graphics driver is not up-to-date.
Differences after "Save as version"
When you save a WinCC flexible project from the current version to an earlier version,
differences in the representation of some objects may occur.
Configuration of the SIMATIC Logon Server
The system alarm 260033 can have several causes: Therefore, check the connection to the
SIMATIC Logon Server and its configuration; for example:
1. Port number
2. IP address
3. Server name
4. Functioning transfer cable
