About This Guide
Welcome to Managing Plots
Welcome to ADAMS template-based products, Mechanical Dynamics’ (MDI) virtual
prototyping software. The template-based products include ADAMS/Car
,
ADAMS/Engine
(powered by FEV), and ADAMS/Rail
.
The template-based products expand MDI virtual prototyping to provide you with
standard building blocks so you can rapidly prototype your real system, such as engine
parts, car suspensions, and rail cars. They offer fully parametric modeling techniques so if
you move one entity, its dependents move accordingly.
This guide introduces you managing plots in template-based products. For information
specific to a certain template-based product, please see the guides associated with that

Overview
You can plot the results of an analysis using the standard
functionality in ADAMS/PostProcessor. To help you manage
your plots, however, your template-based product provides
plot configuration files that define a series of plots.
