+ Hello!

- Hi. Do you know what time is it?

+ Yes, but ...

- Do you think that they will wait for us with the concert?

+ I’m sorry I’m late. I can explain you everything.

- You’ll tell me that later. We have to go. We’ll miss the last bus unless we do it now.

+ But you have to hear my story. It is really amazing!

- Can’t you walk while talking?

+ Sure I can.

- So do it!

+ Ok. You won’t believe the story. Listen! I left home at 7.30 ...

- You’re right. I don’t believe. If you had left at 7.30 you would come here 25 minutes ago!

+ Let me end. As I said, I left home at 7.30, but before I got at the crossroad near the bank I thought I had forgotten my camera. I couldn’t go for a concert without my camera, could I? I had to go back home and take it. Then I left home for the second time.

- And?

+ Before I got at the crossroad near the bank I thought I had forgotten the ticket. How could I go for the concert without the ticket? I had to go back. I took the ticket and left home again. And ...

- Before you got at the crossroad near the bank you thought you had forgotten something?

+ How did you know that?

- I’ve just guessed.

+ You’re right. I thought I had forgotten my coat. I went back home to take it and ... you know what? The door was open! I felt frightened, but I didn’t loose my head.

- Oh, didn’t you?

+ I called the police on my mobile phone. By the way, Have you already seen my new phone? Look. It’s MOTOROLA. How do you like it?

- It’s beautiful. What about the police?

+ Oh yes. They came and caught the thief. Can you imagine that – if I wasn’t so distracted and if I didn’t forget my coat, he would rob everything from our house!

- Congratulations, you’ve rescued your awful antiques...

Oh no, we’ve jut missed the bus. There is no other way to get at the concert. Have you any idea what to do?

·         What a borning evening. You know what, I’ll tell you about what happened to me few years ago.

I was ten or eleven years old. My parents went to London for a weekend and left me home alone for the first time. It was about two o’clock in the morning when I woke up. I heard a noise. I got out of my bed and went slowly downstairs. There was a light in the living room. I listened carefully. I could hear two men speaking quietly. “Burglars!” I thought “ Two burglars!”. Immediatly I ran back upstairs and phoned the police. I was really frightened. I couldn’t  wait for the police. Fortunately they arrived quickly. They opened the front door and went into the living room. Then they came upstairs to find me. “It’s all right now” explained one of them “We turned television off for you!”

Can you imagine how embarrassed I was? Have you ever had similar adventure? Tell us about it!

- Hello?

+Hello. Is it Stacey?

- Yes. It’s me.

+Hi. It’s Lisa calling. I couldn’t wait to hear about Betty’s party. How did you like it? Was anyone interesting there? Tell me everything!

- Well, the party was a disaster.

+ No way!

- Oh yes, it was. I knew it was going to be a disaster when I arrived late. You know that I hate arriving late! This time I got late and everyone stared at me when I came in. And the worst was that they all had their best clothes and I came in my jeans and old T-shirt! I felt so embarrassed ...

+ You should have asked what kind of party it was going to be ...

- Yes, now I know that. But that wasn’t all. I made a fool of myself few more times. You know Chuck, Maria’s boyfriend, don’t you? I dropped some food on his jacket. Then I spilled  my drink on the floor. And at the end, I sat down on somebody’s sandwich.

+ You’re right. It was a disaster!

- I’ve ruined whole party! Everyone was looking at me, Maria had to help Chuck clean his jacket, Betty was cleaning the floor. Nobody was dancing and having fun.

+ Betty will never want to see you again, will she?

- I think she’ll have to ...

+ What do you mean?

- You know that we, Betty and I, have similar shoes, don’t you? Well, I took her ones when I was leaving. I’ll have to give them back. I have no idea how will I talk with her... Will you go there with me?

+ Sure I will. I have to see how will you explain your behaviour.

- I have no idea how will I talk with her...

+ Don’t worry. She’ll forgive you ... someday...

- Thanks!
