Logan hated Valentine's Day. And it wasn't for the reason a lot of people
shunned the holiday. It wasn't because of the rampant consumerism or the way every
store seemed to be dripping in hearts and cheap chocolates and pink . It wasn't even
because he was single and bitter about everyone else expressing love when he wasn't
getting any.
Okay, maybe the last one used to be true. He and Valentine's Day had a long
history. From the blowout after he tried to give a boy an especially nice valentine in
elementary school to feeling the need to hide his sexual identity and proclivities in
high school to being dumped by his boyfriend right around this time when he'd gone
out on a limb and revealed his blood fetish. He'd had plenty of reasons to hate
Valentine's Day in the past, but now that he was a few years into a steady relationship,
his complaint was quite different. The problem with Valentine's Day was it was a non-
holiday. No one ever got that day off from work or from school. There was no federal
holiday when it came to Valentine's Day, which meant he'd been stuck at his day job
until five and had to rush home if he wanted to do anything special.
And then, there was Kasper. Kasper had school, long damn hours of classes
and clinical observation that cut even further into their time together. Logan wasn't
looking for special treatment on Valentine's Day just because he had a husband who
was gorgeous and smart and utterly fuckable, but why couldn't everyone just get a day
off to tell the special people in their lives that they're loved? It sounded like a good
idea to him, especially with how difficult it was getting his schedule to synch up with
Kasper's these days.
In the end, the reality was that Kasper would be home late, and under normal
circumstances, he would have to get up early the next morning as well. Logan smirked
to himself as he headed upstairs to their playroom. It was a good thing that he had
practice creating his own circumstances. A few phone calls and he had made his
arrangements, ensuring Kasper wouldn't have to worry about getting up early. He
couldn't pull enough strings to get Kasper the whole day and evening off, but a little
bit of rearranging could go a long way.
Schedules, exhaustion, projects, double shifts... If he could snatch just a few
extra hours out of their days where pleasure could reign, then, dammit, that's exactly
what he would do. He checked his supplies once more, almost obsessed with making
certain everything was as it should be. It had been way too long since they'd enjoyed
themselves in this manner. Logan's head shot up when he heard the front door slam
shut. A grin curved his lips, and he headed out of the playroom and down the stairs.
Kasper was standing in the kitchenette, looking at the elegant place settings.
He looked up when Logan appeared in the doorway. "Supper?"
"Later. After you've earned it." Logan's heart began to race. "Think you can
earn it, Kas?"
Something hungry and hot flickered in Kasper's pale blue eyes, and he
dropped his satchel and shrugged off his lab coat. "You know I can."
"I didn't ask what I knew."
Kasper flushed, swallowed. "Yes, I can earn it."
That was his Kasper, so quick to correct his mistakes. It wasn't until recently
that Kasper had started to realize that making mistakes was part of the fun, something
that made each scene all the more satisfying. Almost five years of therapy and they
were starting to smooth over the scars left over from Kasper's upbringing. Oh, the
scars would always be there, but they were hitting their stride with one another,
figuring out what could be done and what would never really change. There was
something comforting in that. Even with the stress of school and work, their
relationship was still deepening.
He spared Kasper a look full of heat and pride before gesturing with his head
up toward the playroom. "Upstairs, then. I want you naked and sitting on the wooden
horse. I'll join you in a minute." Kasper hesitated for a moment, and Logan smirked,
leaning forward and slapping Kasper's ass through those work slacks. "Now," he
ordered. Kasper startled, both at the voice and the contact, but headed up the stairs
without any further delay.
Logan watched the stairs until he heard the door of the playroom close, and
then he set to work, snatching up Kasper's lab coat and heading upstairs into the
master bathroom. He changed into the set of clothes he'd prepared and smiled at his
reflection in the mirror as he pulled Kasper's white coat up onto his own frame. Pretty
damn sexy, if he could say so himself. Then again, how many times had he gotten
hard just seeing Kasper walk around in this coat? He hoped it would have the same
effect on Kasper, that the clinical observation hours hadn't desensitized him.
Logan smirked. Poor boy. If Kasper was desensitized, he had a few remedies
in mind. Hell, a few things he had planned would do the trick. He felt his cock harden
in his professional looking slacks, and he took a moment to smooth down his shirt
and tie before making his way down the hall. He stepped into the playroom, and his
eyes drank in the sight of Kasper naked and positioned. It wasn't a doctor's office, but
