Origami Shamrock
This shamrock can be made with 3 or 4 leaves. Each leaf
uses half a square of origami paper and is very quick and
easy to fold, so the shamrock comes together easily. You will
also need a thin strip of green paper or card for the stalk.
Use the shamrock to decorate a St Patrick’s Day card, or, in
its “4 leaf clover” version, a Good Luck card.
1. Fold your paper in half horizontally
and cut along the fold. Repeat, so
that you have 3 or 4 halves to work
with.
2. Take one of the rectangles and place it face-up on the
table. Fold in half as shown. Then fold the top flap out again,
along the dotted line....
3. so that your model
looks like this.
4. Flip over. Fold the edges
in along the dotted lines ...
5. and your model will look
like this.

6. Turn the top points in. 7. Finally, make a small
diagonal crease at the centre
of the heart shape. This crease
strenghtens the model and
holds it together.
8. Flip over again.
9. Join 3 or 4 leaves together
with glue and add a small strip of
green paper or card for a stem.
