Industry!
I knew you were going to pick up this book.
Why?
Because I know what every other great health and fitness marketer
out there knows: only 5% of people that buy books, products, or join
health clubs ever REALLY put them to use. The reason comes from
the fact that it is quite easy to manipulate someone if they have a
want that is bad enough.
Think about it. If you are desperate to lose weight, you’ll try just
about anything to get the pounds off. Seriously, if someone made the
claim (and somehow substantiated) the fact the eating dog poo would
help you lose weight, I’d have a huge line of people waiting outside my
door (I have a huge dog).
Thus the diet and fitness industry has an easy job to do. Here are the
steps:
1) Identify (or create) a desperate problem that people have
2) Create hope
3) Under-deliver on your promises
4) Blame the laziness or stupidity of the individual if it doesn’t
work.
5) Repeat
Most of the time, the industry doesn’t even have to worry about their
product. The company knows that the majority of people will find that
it is too hard to actually get in shape and will never put their product
to use.
It’s free money!
But here’s the kicker: Afterward, people just put that product down
and go buy the next “miracle” product.

Let’s face one fact. Admit it, you’re lazy (hey, me too). You REALLY
don’t want to work out. You just want the pounds to just melt off or
you want to gain 50 lbs of muscle in 3 days. Admit it, its okay.
Please understand that I’m not saying these things to push your
buttons or piss you off (or am I?). On the contrary, these statements
are simple facts of human nature.
Now, this isn’t to say that there aren’t any great products and services
out there because there are. The problem stems from people having
to wade through all of the bad information and crappy products that
no one knows what to do.
You’ve got certain gurus telling you one thing and certain ones telling
you the opposite. Think about it, when you want to win a war, one of
the absolute best strategies is to confuse your opponent.
Of course, this book isn’t about conspiracy theory so we won’t go into
detail about what I think on the above. We’ll leave that to another

You see, the biggest hurdle for most people is applying what you’ve
learned. So, that being said make, sure to apply everything here.
Information is a powerful thing if used correctly. Hopefully, this book
will help to change a lot of what’s been going on in the health and
fitness industry.
I’ve been in the industry for 8 years now and have seen it all. Some
of this stuff is downright ridiculous. Not to scare you (because there
are a lot of great clubs out there), but the health and fitness industry
itself is filled with drug trafficking, porn, money laundering, scams,
and many other things that can happen right under everyone’s nose.
Seriously, if your state’s Attorney General’s office (in the US) went
through many of the health clubs out there, they would have an
absolute field day.
Now, don’t get me wrong… there are some great clubs out there. With
this book, you’ll be able to easily distinguish between the great clubs
and the awful ones.
