Templates for drivable Vehiclez Shipz and Bargez ------------------------------------------------ Do the following to make any scenery object a drivable object:- Find the Template in your world/dispacher/downloads directory and copy them to your world/custom/trains directory Modify the config file as follows:- -------------------------------------------------------------------- "kuid2 <KUID2:78193:950:1>" to yourkuid:newnumber -------------------------------------------------------------------- Give your object a new name -------------------------------------------------------------------- username "new name" -------------------------------------------------------------------- Change the KUID of the object you want to make drivable. -------------------------------------------------------------------- default-mesh <KUID:xxxxx:YYYYY> -------------------------------------------------------------------- where xxxxx:YYYYY is KUID no of the object you want to drive put this kuid into the kuid-table -------------------------------------------------------------------- kuid-table {KUID:xxxxx:YYYYY} -------------------------------------------------------------------- that makes your adaptor dependant on the scenery object. If you wish you can change the region, company, cab, engine, mass etc in the config file The scenery object should now appear as a drivable object and can be placed on invisible track If you find your object is not aligned properly you can use a different attachment point by changing a.attach_000_ground to a.attach_090_ground (or a.attach_180_ground or a.attach_270_ground) to rotate the object back to the correct orientation. Change this in the config file. Bargez and Shipz are the same. You can also lift the attachment point up to road height (0.4m) by using a.attach_000_road instead of a.attach_000_ground. With these two adjustments you can correct the height and orientation. If you have a longer vehicle I have made 4 available lengths of adaptor, select these by changing the mesh vehiclez_body/superadaptor5m.IM statement to mesh vehiclez_body/superadaptor1m.IM for people (1m) mesh vehiclez_body/superadaptor5m.IM for cars (5m) <-- dont put these comments in! mesh vehiclez_body/superadaptor15m.IM for boats (15m) mesh vehiclez_body/superadaptor50m.IM for ships (50m) I have made invisible track for using this adaptor For vehicles use the busroutes Pack ID: 6426 Contents: - postbus_bogie (KUID:78193:1801) - Swiss Post Bus (KUID:78193:801) - Swiss Post Bus Stop (KUID:78193:88102) - busroute1 (KUID:78193:37103) - busroute2 (KUID:78193:37203) - busroute4 (KUID:78193:37403) - busroutew (KUID:78193:37303) For ships and barges use bargeroute for vehicles which need track at 3m and shiproute for vehicles that need 7m Pack: shippinglanes Pack ID: 6748 Contents: - Bargeroute (KUID:78193:35121) - Bargeroute 2x4m (KUID:78193:35123) - Bargeroute 2x6m (KUID:78193:35122) - Shiproute (KUID:78193:35101) - Shiproute 2x30m (KUID:78193:35112) - Shiproute 2x6m (KUID:78193:35102) - Shiproute 3x30m (KUID:78193:35113) - Shiproute 3x6m (KUID:78193:35103) - Shiproute 4x30m (KUID:78193:35114) - Shiproute 4x6m (KUID:78193:35104) - Shiproute 5x1m (KUID:78193:35115) - Shiproute 5x30m (KUID:78193:35105) I have also made a set of spacers for use with the adaptor (say between horse and cart) they will be on the DLS - 0.5m spacer KUID2:78193:22608:2 - 1m spacer KUID2:78193:22607:2 - 2m spacer KUID2:78193:22606:2 - 3m spacer KUID2:78193:22605:2 - 5m spacer KUID2:78193:22604:2 - 10m spacer KUID2:78193:22603:2 Have fun, if you need any help please email terry@cyberstorm.co.uk here is an example config file for a drivable porche (remove all comments starting with <====) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- kuid <KUID2:78193:950:1> <==== change the kuid for your own category-class AC category-region-0 CH category-era-0 1990s origin Jungfrau bogey <KUID:-10:149> interior <KUID:-10:172> <==== change the interior if you wish fonts 1 engine 1 mass 20000 Company Cyberstorm username Drivable Superadaptor origin custom region custom kind traincar enginespec <KUID:-1:42004203> <==== change the engine spec if you wish enginesound <KUID:-1:42003002> <==== change the engine sound if you wish hornsound <KUID:523:100433> <==== change the horn sound if you wish description "Vehicle adaptor" mesh-table { default { mesh vehiclez_body/superadaptor5m.IM <==== change the adaptor size if you wish auto-create 1 effects { vehicle { kind attachment default-mesh <KUID:68787:25139> <==== insert KUID of the object you are making drivable att a.attach_090_ground <==== change the adaptor orientation } } } } trainz-build 2.4 kuid-table {68787:25139} <==== change to the KUID of the object you are attaching thumbnail author Terry Stormont license "LICENCE this track may be used on any freeware layout, you may re-skin or alter the files but please give me credit in the config,if you need help setting up the adaptor please contact me" contact-website http://fp.stormont.plus.com/Trainz/Trains.htm organisation Cyberstorm contact-email terry@cyberstorm.co.uk
