Zadanie 1.

1.

All the pictures show young people involved in some kind of employment:

a man is giving some documents to a young woman at the table - it may be a job contract for her to read and sign

a girl is standing at a stall in the street where she is selling some refreshments, possibly drinks or ice cream

a girl in the foreground is picking fruit in the field, probably strawberries


2.

                   it may be a job agency advertisement, for example directing people from the street to the office (more than one position is offered)

                   a future employee needs to bring their CV, that is a description of what they have done in their life, including their personal data, educational background and job experience as well as their profile; the profile may refer to detailed personal information about particular strengths, abilities and skills the person possesses

3. it shows the need for good preparation when we are applying for a job; we need to prepare relevant documents about ourselves, to look our best in order to make a good impression, and to behave in an appropriate way

4.

                   very important - the more part-time jobs we have, the more experience we gain: about various jobs, working condi­tions, behaviour in the workplace, expectations of employers, what we are good at

                   it teaches us to be responsible we collect experience to write about in our CV and we become a better candidate for ajob

                   we become more mature and later we can make better decisions for ourselves

5. Drawbacks:

                   young people have hardly any job experience: they can be deceived by dishonest employers, for example they may not be paid their wages and may be forced to work longer hours than it was agreed at the beginning

                   the job may be dull and unrewarding and the employer dishonest - thus the young person may make untrue generalizations about all jobs and all employers; in this way he or she may develop a critical attitude to employment, and as a result the person may never be convinced to become a reliable and trustworthy employee anywhere

Zadanie 2.

1.

Introduction:

              unpaid voluntary work: usually in homes for the elderly and
orphanages (often provided by people who like to serve
others, idealists who want to make the world a better place
to live for those in need), but also in ordinary companies
(media, advertising - frequently taken up by people who
wish to gain professional experience)

              everyone may benefit from it in different ways
Advantages:

it serves the needs of the people who really require it and benefit from it: the elderly, the children, etc.

it helps volunteers realize their personal goals (the idealistic need to serve, to give part of oneself - one's time and energy - to others who can appreciate it)

it gives the employee additional experience, which may become a great advantage: new skills and abilities are learned and discovered (professional gains), character and personality are developed and tested (personal gains)

it may convince the employer that the voluntary worker is a reliable person who deserves a fully paid employment contract

              it costs the employer nothing in terms of salary or taxes
Drawbacks:

it does not bring financial profit, so the person needs to have some other means of support

serving others may be a very demanding challenge that requires a lot of patience and a particular strength of character which the volunteer may discover he or she does not possess it
