of no return”, then release and dodge back out of
the way.
1.a. Step into Warrior Stance and span across the
sacrum and lower ribcage with your foot arm.
1.a. Fall onto the back with your weight, pump
your legs, and jellyfish . Descend gently to safe-
guard the neck from hyperextension.
1.a. For the Near Thigh Scoop surfacing, have
partner near the surface and bring the heel of your
hand to the back of her knee.

1.a. Think of the letter “J”. Go deep first, then roll
partner face up at the bottom. Start pulling
footward underwater to help clear the near arm.
1.a. With a weight transfer footward or with steps,
plane partner up to surface. Thread into 1st or
limbo around the head to the other side.
1.a. Use the back of the wrist on the back of the
knee for a variation of the Near Thigh Scoop.
1.b. Far Thigh Roll and Swoosh Begin in 1st,
tractioning under the pelvis and the occiput. Rock
footward on the exhale and signal.
1.b Transfer your weight headwards and glide the
head half-weighted out along your arm into a
release. Let the near arm clear.
1.b. Reach under the near leg and over the far leg
for the Far Thigh Roll. Push the thigh deep, then
roll, then pull partner back to you.

1.b. Let your pressure on the lower ribcage be
sensitive on the upstroke .
1.b. Jellyfish partner in the absolute space. Descend
slowly so as not to snap the head back. Span from
sacrum to ribs to protect the lower back.
1.b. The angle of the headwards release varies with
partner’s buoyancy. The object is to present the
knees opposite your head arm.
1.b. For The Swoosh, descend with your head
arm, palm up, onto the backs of the knees.
1.b. Withdraw your hips and step back out of
way to allow partner’s feet to clear in front of
you. The Michael Jackson foot reversal also works.

1.c. Off Shoulder Roll Begin in Under Head
Position in Warrior Stance, the head foot back.

1.c. Feel the inhale complete with your hara hand.
Slowly roll partner away into the water, pivoting on
your foot foot to face partner’s side at a right angle.
1.c. Stand facing partner in Warrior Stance and
place your open hands opposite each other.
Rock your weight forward and back.
1.c. Shift your hand placement up and down the
spine to articulate it in lateral flexion.
1.c. Step a quarter turn headward with your foot
foot. Continue the movement in the vertical plane
now into the Alley-oop somersault.
1.c. Completing the somersault with partner face-
up, pull the knees past and slip into First Position.

2.a. Rotate your hips to swing partner footwards.
Glide the head out along your arm until it releases
and submerges sideways.
2.a. Step back on your foot foot, cross your foot
arm, lean back and transfer your weight onto the
foot foot to create the arch. This is Capoeira!
